MEC Violet Mathye addressed the Departmental Strategic Planning Session for Transport and Community Safety in the Waterberg District today, reflecting on 30 years of democracy, achievements, and challenges.

She emphasized the importance of ethical conduct, addressing gender imbalances, and improving road safety through education and advocacy.

Mathye also highlighted upcoming socio-economic initiatives – including the Gauteng-Limpopo High-Speed Train and affordable public transport – as key to the government’s “Doing more together” commitment.

Today’s strategic planning session sets the tone for a safer, more equitable Limpopo, with the Department poised to make significant strides in transport and community safety.
