#TransportMonth2024| Earlier today, 22 October 2024, MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Mme Violet Mathye, together with Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL), presented to the Portfolio Committee, chaired by Honourable Kedibone Lebea.
The Department submitted reports on airport sustainability and updates on revamping airports, including Mphephu, which is now underway. Committee members praised the significant progress made since the airport’s closure due to downgrading.
The revitalisation of Limpopo’s airports exemplifies the province’s dedication to improving transportation infrastructure, a key focus of October Transport Month.
