MEC VIOLET MATHYE HONOURS POLICE WEEK
Today marks the end of a week celebrating the achievements of the South African Police Service.
The events of the week included
_National Commissioner’s Day for fundraising education for the children of police officers who died in line of duty.
_Golf gala dinner.
_National Excellence Awards.
The closing event was the National Police Day where various SAPS units were displayed to members of the public
These events were officiated by the Minister of Police Mr Senzo Mchunu and his two deputies Mr Mathale Cassel and Mrs Boshielo Polly.
In his keynote address the Minister of Police Mr Senzo Mchunu emphasized the importance of collaboration between law enforcement and communities to foster trust and cooperation
SAPS top brass Provincial Commissioners, Metro Police Chiefs and Police Chiefs from SADC countries graced the events.
