SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING TO SUPPORT ROLL OUT OF THE LIMPOPO ROAD SAFETY STRATEGY
The Impact Catalyst recently provided comprehensive social media training to road safety officers from across the province, support staff from MEC Violet Mathye’s office, the Communication Services team of the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety and the Provincial South African Police Service (SAPS)corporate communications team.
The training, held on 4-5 March in Polokwane, aimed to equip participants with the skills to effectively communicate the work of the Limpopo Road Safety Strategy (LRSS) 2025-2035.
Creative content creation strategies were explored to influence road user behavior for the better, in support of #projectEDWARD – Every Day Without A Road Death.
This initiative is a crucial step in driving the implementation of the LRSS in 2025 and beyond. The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, in collaboration with the Limpopo Road Safety Programme, will lead the implementation of this strategy.
The training session was an exciting opportunity to leverage social media for promoting road safety awareness.
