MEC MATHYE COMFORTS THE LEDWABA FAMILY IN GA- MASHASHANE

Today, Tuesday, 1 July 2025, the Department of Transport and Community Safety (DTCS) MEC, Violet Mathye together with CDM Executive Mayor cllr Mamedupi Teffo, led a delegation of government officials and community leaders to the Ledwaba family in Sebora Village, Ga-Mashashane, to offer condolences following the gruesome murder of an 87-year-old woman by her 40-year-old son.The suspect was arrested on Saturday and appeared in court yesterday.

MEC Mathye urged the community to work together with the police and CPF to prevent such incidents, saying, “Let us look after each other and start being enquisitive when we see irregular movements in our community… We are saddened by what happened here and convey condolences to the Ledwaba family.”
