HEAVY TRAFFIC| As the Easter long weekend approaches, traffic volumes are expected to increase significantly on roads leading into Limpopo from this afternoon and later into the evening.
To ensure a safe journey, law enforcement officers are already deployed at strategic locations along major routes and critical points to manage traffic flow, curb traffic violations, and ensure safety on the roads.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the following key roads, which are expected to experience increased traffic volumes: the N1, N11, R101, R81, R71, R579, R37, R36, R40, R528, R574, R516, R521, D4040, D19, D4, R524, and R523. Be prepared for heavy and slow-moving traffic on some of these roads.
To stay safe on the roads, follow these tips:
– Plan your trip ahead and include regular breaks every 2 hours or 200 km to avoid fatigue.
– Drive during the day for added safety.
– Buckle up, stay within the speed limit, and avoid overtaking on barrier lines.
Let’s work together towards Every Day Without A Road Death. Road safety is everyone’s responsibility.
