Limpopo Traffic College – MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, presided over the conferment of higher ranks to 28 Law Enforcement Officers at the Limpopo Traffic College. She was joined by Head of Department, Stephen Matjena and Head of Traffic, Allen Matsila.
The newly promoted cohort comprises 1 Deputy Director, 9 Chief Provincial Inspectors, and 18 Principal Provincial Inspectors. Each officer assumes greater responsibility in response to the province’s call for stronger and more consistent protection for communities.
In line with her Budget Speech commitment to strengthen 24/7 law enforcement operations, the MEC said these appointments signal a department that is ready to meet the demands of the people.
“The elevation of these officers will lift morale across the floor. It also creates space for the recruitment of new officers, so that the promise of round-the-clock service is lived, not just spoken,” MEC Mathye said.
