Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Florence Radzilani has today, Monday 16 October 2023, joined the Deputy Minister of Transport, Lisa Mancu as he leads the delegation at the Venetia Mine on the occasion of the Memorial service of the late Venetia Mine workers who were involved on the fatal accident on the D2692 Venetia Road between Musina and Venetia Mine in Vhembe District.
The fatal accident occurred on the 17th of September 2023 and 18 workers from Venetia Mine perished on the scene with 2 people from the truck that collided with the Mine bus.
In attendance is the Mayor of Musina Local Municipality, Cllr Godfrey Mawela and his Executive members, Mayor of Blougberg, Maria Thamaga, Union Leaders, workers from Venetia Mine and family members of the deceased.
